Maxi More is a performance artist who uses 'drag' a playful approach to make up, fabric and fibers to undergo transformations.
Maxi calls on the power of make believe to break free from the limitations of identity and create an Ultra-Ego. All materials are potential collaborators Maxi sees no distinction between opulence and grunge, and loves to find glamour in the trash.
Join Maxi for a tutorial in make believe, a whistle stop tour of how to do a 'drag' face, your way. Bring your own make up, and any bits and bobs that catch your eye sequins, poster paints, feathers or potato peelings and Maxi will walk you through the basics to create a lo-fi, high glamour look. The perfect way to get ready for your evening with BID, Ausform, or a chance encounter*
*participants should bring their own make up to the workshop. No need to buy anything new! Just bring whatever make up or facepaint you have at home, and anything else that looks like it might be good to stick on your face or wrap round your head.
