Ken Ludwig's "The Game's Afoot"
Kaleidoscope Theatre is pleased to present "Ken Ludwig's The Game's Afoot; or Holmes for the Holidays." Originally produced by Cleveland Play House, Michael Bloom (Artistic Director), and Kevin Moore (Managing Director), this comedy-thriller won the 2012 Edgar Allen Poe Award for Best Mystery Play by the Mystery Writers of America, so be prepared for an evening that will keep you guessing!
Relentlessly entertaining, the play takes place in December 1936 at the home of Broadway star William Gillette, a world-famous actor renowned for his portrayal of Sherlock Holmes. Gillette has invited his fellow cast-members to his Connecticut estate for a weekend of holiday festivities, but in true murder-mystery fashion, one of the guests is stabbed to death and it's up to Gillette to assume the persona of his beloved Holmes and track down the killer. The danger and hilarity are non-stop in this holiday thriller that is sure to bring out your inner detective.
Kaleidoscope Theatre is Drumheller's community theatre, and everyone, from front of house to backstage and behind-the-scenes, are volunteers. Show your support for local talent and be ready for an evening of fun entertainment.
