5th Annual Oak Park Micro Brew Review
Co-produced by Seven Generations Ahead and the Illinois Craft Brewers Guild and in collaboration with the Downtown Oak Park Association and the Pleasant District, the Oak Park Micro Brew Review will feature tastings of over 100 craft beers from more than 50 microbreweries across the Midwest. But this is not just your average beer festival; proceeds from the event help fund SGA's non-profit work to build healthy, environmentally sustainable communities in the Midwest. So along with celebrating the microbrews of the most skilled craft brew masters in the region, attendees can also celebrate sustainable living while sampling select food tastings that incorporate organic food from local farmers. And to make sure minimal event waste is sent to the landfill, this festival models Zero Waste best practices.
Micro Brew. Micro Waste.
BONUS: This is the only craft beer event featuring the Illinois Craft Brewer's Guild "Replicale" project. This exciting annual project features a different beer style each year brewed by 15 or more Illinois brewers to showcase the nuances in brewing technique and system design. This year's style will be Belgian Abbey Single.
NEW THIS YEAR: --Space, breweries and beer have been added to the festival layout (again) to accommodate growing crowds --Check-in for main event will open at 1:30pm (1.5 hours early) to ease crowd flow at 3pm start of event. Food vendors will also start serving at 1:30pm...so arrive early, get yourself fed and watered and visit local shops before the taps pour! --The VIP Master's Choice Ticket has been upgraded to include exclusive access to the VIP tent from 1pm - 7pm along with hourly, specialty food and beer pairings from your favorite gastro-pubs for that same duration of time!
