Some people named a radio they had been bringing to the beach for many years a "Sand Machine" because it was filled with sand, yet it still worked. Inspired by its persistence and dedication to music, these guys named their band after it. That is the creation myth of Sand Machine.

Since then the band has busied itself with creating infective melody lines and harmony arrangements reminiscent of the British invasion overlaying bucolic American roots rock. Encompassing social commentary, story-telling, emotional revelation, and a touch of wry, Sand Machine purports to be both the forest and the trees. Besides playing consistently in Boston and other parts of New England, they also play NYC, Pittsburgh, Nashville, etc.

Meg Smallidge and Jeff Harris are THE WEDNESDAYS.

Grade A Gray Days is the side project of THE RESURRECTIONIST'S Benjamin Crouch along with Ben Dicke (drummer - Resurrectionists, Miss Fairchild, The Bold Type) , Lincoln Smith (guitar - OTP) and Scot Fitzsimmons (double bass & guitar formerly of Sparklehorse).  The music is torchy blues and rock with a sound that is drawing from Nick Cave, Roy Orbison, and Skeeter Davis, among others.
