THE EIGHT: REINDEER MONOLOGUES
Not everything is merry at the North Pole. Rudolph is in a padded cell, Santa is on a bender, and the reindeer are talking to anyone who'll listen in Jeff Goode's hard-hitting, chocolaty-dark holiday confection. In this hysterically tart alternative to the usual sugar-coated holiday fare, scandal erupts at the North Pole when one of Santa's eight tiny reindeer accuses him of decidedly un-Christmas like behavior. As the media descends, the other members of the elite sleigh team share their articulate (and sometimes sordid) confessions, a tale of corruption and perversion emerges, which seems to implicate everyone from the littlest elf to Saint Nick himself.
Directed by The Production Companys Artistic Director August Viverito (who won rave reviews and Critics Picks for his production of The Eight in 2003) and featuring the ultimate Elite Team of Kathleen Johnston, Ethan Kogan, T L Kolman, Jeremy Lelliott, Skip Pipo, Vance Roi Reyes, Leslie Rivera, & Jessica Silvetti, this is sure to be one helluva sleigh ride!
