Purple Asparagus' "Restaurants are for Everybody" Dinner
Too often, becoming a parent means putting your epicurean life on hold. Dining out either involves hiring an expensive babysitter or eating at restaurants where the kids' menu is more extensive than the wine list. Purple Asparagus presents another option - all-family dining at Chicago's finest restaurants, where kids can be kids, grownups can talk to grownups and everyone can enjoy great food without the fear of funny looks from other tables.
On November 12, Purple Asparagus will host its second "Restaurants are for Everybody" event at erwin, an american cafe and bar, from 2:30pm-5:00pm. A former school teacher and father of two, Erwin Drechsler will have a wonderful Thanksgiving inspired spread with fun activities for the kids. Ticket prices are: Adults and teens, $40.00; Big Kids 5-12, $10.00; and Little Kids 4 and under, free; cash bar. Proceeds from the event will benefit Purple Asparagus, a non-profit organization dedicated to celebrating the deep bond between food and families, helping to fund its activities such as Sprouts at Chicago's Green City Market and its involvement in the Healthy Eating by Design Program at McAuliffe School in Logan Square.
