Sandy Poze and Gaia's Garden present a fabulous evening of dining and music (and dancing, if you're so inclined) to benefit the Mark West Union School Music Foundation. (The school district was devastated by the tragic death of teacher Sue Hufford last year. Kara Shelton, her successor, is most appreciative of any support we can give.)
Doors open at 5 p.m., and the international vegetarian buffet will be available until 6:30 p.m. Chef Sandy Poze and Gaia's Garden will be presenting:
Fresh salad bar with house-made dressings
Mock Chicken Mole with brown basmati rice Portabella Cacciatore with polenta Baked Thai Tofu Poki with Taro and Sweet Potato chips German Leek, Onion and Potato Soup Gaia's Garden's Dahl soup Coconut Curry with cauliflower, green peas and zuchini, Steamed Rainbow Vegetables, Roasted Yams House baked loaf bread and corn bread Halavah dessert Coconut tapioca
Beer, wine, cider, coffee, house-brewed and uncaffeinated chai and a variety of cold non-alcoholic drinks and hot teas are available for separate purchase.
Sandy will take off his chef's coat at 5:30 and strap on his guitar to begin an evening of classic and original rock, blues, swing and jazz with some help from his friends, including Bob Hermann, Steve Griffith and saxman Ari Camarota. You'll be dancing out the door at 8 p.m., nourished and inspired, knowing you've helped a worthy cause and with plenty of time to prepare for Monday.
