Dale Henderson & William Chapman Nyaho: J.S. Bach's Complete Viola da Gamba Sonatas
The "Father of Harmony" J.S. Bach composed six Cello Suites that are so famous every classical fan and many non-classical fans know them. But he also wrote three Viola da Gamba and Harpsichord Sonatas that are equally as gorgeous, inventive, and soulful as the Suites, yet completely different in style!
Join Bach in the Subways founder Dale Henderson and Ghanaian-American pianist William Chapman Nyaho, author of "Piano Music of Africa and the African Diaspora," as they perform all three of these masterful works in one evening. The concert marks a new collaboration between the artists which began last month with an appearance on Seattle's Haller Lake Music Series on Saturday, December 19 and a live preview performance the evening before on KING FM's Northwest Focus.
