A Holiday Concert for the Coast by the Ernest Bloch Bell Ringers and friends
The sound of four and a half octaves of handbells and chimes will fill the Coleman Auditorium with beautiful holiday music. Under the direction of Jeanne Jackson, the bell ringers will perform some of your favorite holiday pieces, including "Carol of the Bells".
Singing is an important part of every bell ringing performance and the audience is often invited to sing along. Rachel Kritz will lead a community sing "Do You Hear What I Hear?" Linda Bostwick, Rachel Kritz, and Sita Milchev will sing "Winter Wonderland" in three-part harmony and the audience will be invited to join them the second time through. Cyndy Solomon joins the bells on her recorder for "Bring a Torch, Jeanette, Isabella."
Two not- to-be missed performances will be Eric Kritz on clarinet, playing "Just a Closer Walk with Thee" and Sita Milchev singing "Mary, Did you Know?" all accompanied by the bell choir.
The Coastal Singers will join in this concert, performing four pieces and joining with the bells on "Silver Bells."
Santa Claus will be making a personal appearance and will hand out candy canes to children of all ages. Santa will be there at 3:30 pm.
Tickets are $10.00 in advance and $15.00 day of the concert. Youth, 17 and under are admitted free.
