Epifania Fitzfassenden, a milliomairess, is flush with cash but bankrupt in the market of romance. Her husband, Alastair, is seeing another woman, and Epifania's current
companion, Adrian Blenderbland, is penniless and uses her for access to expensive restaurants. When Epifania and Alastair attempt to file for divorce, they inadvertantly
hire the same lawyer, Julius Sagamore, a man with a shady past that includes check kiting. Enter a mysterious Egyptian doctor, and the story has all the ingredients of a Ben Jonson-like Renaissance comedy set in the present day.
