Comedy Club with Daniel Packard

Except for being very very funny, Daniel Packard has little in common with the typical stand up comedian. Packard is a brilliant, fearless, ruthlessly funny sociologist/psychiatrist of a comedian, who will entertain, engage and educate his audience for a rare comedy club evening in Winthrop January 25.

Rejecting Hollywoods offer to make him a star, Daniel Packard instead set off to create a revolutionary style of comedy based not on jokes, but on a dynamic, personal dialogue with every audience he meets. Daniel now explodes on stage with touchy topics and lots to say; But then masterfully inspires you to join in and invigorate the show with excitement, honesty and the spontaneous hilarity only live interaction can create.

Fueled with a slicing theory on how women can get the most out of men, he uses crowd questionnaires, onstage audience interviews, whistles to blow if you agree and rubber bands to shoot at him when you dont. By talking to the crowd, not like an audience, but like friends in living room, Daniel creates a connection with the crowd that allows him to take the audience places typical comedians cant. And so this not a typical comedy show, but a very funny, high stakes, unpredictable, revealing, and most of all incredibly fun and funny comedy experience.

Daniel, who lives in Vancouver BC, performs all over the world (he was just in Dubai and Greece) and will include a stop at the Winthrop Barn on Friday, January 25. Doors open at 6:30, show starts at 7:30pm.
