All funds gathered support the artist and YU Productions - Youth Union, a 100% youth-led organization founded by Sam Porter, owner of Porterhouse Productions, with the goal of engaging local high school students in hands-on training in event planning, concert production, community outreach and industry skill development. The group meets weekly at The Good Work Collective in Traverse City's Old Town District to plan and develop events.
ABOUT ARCHNEMESIS
Archnemesis originates from 1320 Records (STS9, Bassnectar, Big Gigantic, Two Fresh, etc.) and was formed as the musical brainchild of Curt Heiny (telepath) and Justin Aubuchon (MO Theory). After touring with Bassnectar, Pretty Lights, Big Gigantic and playing summer festivals from Electric Forest to Camp Bisco, you can predict what you will be hearing from Archnemesis, that is: electro-progressive original music combined with samples ranging from early 20's blues and jazz to modern hip-hop and soul. Folks will dig this glitchy, dub-y, bass-y, hip-hop soul a genre seemingly established by acts such as Bassnectar and Pretty Lights.
