Hands Across the Midnight Sun Telethon!
The clock is ticking down on the final hours of the Hands Across the Midnight Sun Telethon! All the callers have wandered off, the cameras have malfunctioned and the only way to save the Sun is with the help of our live studio audience! Join Olympia's favorite funny ladies, Elizabeth Lord and Lauren O'Neill, and their friends for this once in a lifetime experience. This live performance will be staged like a televised phone fundraiser full of surprise guests, heartfelt testimonials, charming stories of yore, and multiple opportunities to become a part of the Midnight Sun's legacy in Olympia.
Following the success of the recent fundraiser show at the Brotherhood Lounge, Prodigal Sun is taking it back to their roots (across the street) to the Midnight Sun to highlight the space itself as a public rental venue for all ages performance and events. Past and present, the Midnight Sun has always been accessible to anyone who needed a space for their creativity to shine, and it is vital to our community that it stay open and thriving. Lauren and Elizabeth have both performed in the Midnight Sun countless times and want to share their love for the space and inspire others to make it their home base for live performance.
Music, dance, comedy and tragedy together-again! The 10:00pm show features Nani Poonani of Olympia's Own TUSH! Burlesque!
About the hosts:
Lauren O'Neill is a performer, MC, producer and silly lady. She is a founding member of the theater company, The Audition is Dead and has worked with many local theater and performance companies and collectives. Most recently, Lauren has been seen in Saul Tannenbaum's Claus for Celebration, Oh Hello Productions and Parallel Lives, Prodigal Sun Productions. Lauren can be seen most frequently as The Illustrious Burlesque MC Ms. Hattie Hotpants.
Elizabeth Lord is a professional storyteller, actor, director, producer, and the president of Prodigal Sun Productions. She has performed countless times at The Midnight Sun, including all of her original solo storytelling shows like Please Write, Vegas Childhood, Personal Ad, Smoking is Cool, and Cheap Rent. She is a member of the playback theater group The Heartsparkle Players and produces an annual variety show called The Lord Franzanian Royal Olympian Spectacular Vaudeville Show.
