Dancing with the Mystics
"Dancing with the Mystics" Jelalladin Rumi, Hildegard of Bingen, John of the Cross, Hafiz, Meister Eckhart......all surpassed conventional awareness to experience life beyond the five senses. Through their art, poetry, music and prose, they each pointed to a connection with an expanded state that challenged the norms of their time. This inspiration to search "beyond" and consort with the forces of Creation will characterize our time together as we enter a portal to the mystic. Through the Dances of Universal Peace (inspired by those mystics already mentioned as well as others), original lyrical compositions, walking the labyrinth to sacred harp music and the spiritual walking practices offered through the work of Murshid Samuel Lewis, we will explore our own capacities to connect with an inner vision that is both personal and trans personal.
