The Tudor Choir kicks off the holiday season with AMERICAN FOLK HOLIDAY, a fun and lively performance of early American music from New England, Appalachian and Shaker traditions. AMERICAN FOLK HOLIDAY is a perfect performance for families, friends and children to celebrate the Thanksgiving weekend and the start of the holiday season. Raucous tunes in the shapenote tradition; simple, heartfelt Shaker melodies; and the proud and vigorous New England "primitive" style will take the audience on a journey discovering holiday fare from the variety of traditions that combine to create America's vital and inspiring musical heritage.
AMERICAN FOLK HOLIDAY is the second concert of the Tudor Choir's 2012-2013 20th anniversary season. Single tickets may be purchased here.
