ADAM BURKE: LIVE ALBUM RECORDING
Comedian Adam Burke is proud to announce that he has teamed up with Comedians You Should Know to present a live stand-comedy album recording on April 26th, 2012. The recording will consist of two shows at 8:00 and 10:00 PM Timothy O'Toole's (622 N. Fairbanks Ct.), in their designated basement showroom located in Chicago's downtown Streeterville neighborhood. The show is being produced by the Comedians You Should Know group, and will feature an opening set from Cameron Esposito.
Originally from the UK, Burke has established himself as a stalwart of the Chicago stand-up comedy scene, having performed regularly at Zanies, UP Comedy Club, Chicago Underground Comedy, and more. Burke was the winner of the recent UP Comedy Club Stand-Up Search at Second City, and has appeared several times at the Chicago Just for Laughs Festival. He has appeared on the Bob and Tom show, WGN 720 AM radio, and the Benson Interruption podcast. Burke is a favorite on the Chicago scene thanks to smart yet silly material that touches on a wide range of topics including his Northern Irish upbringing, interesting tactics for avoiding sunburn, and the metaphysical ubiquity of squirrels.
WHAT: Adam Burke will be recording material for a live stand-up album to be released later in 2012. Each show will feature a full length set by Adam Burke, as well as an opening set from host Cameron Esposito. The show is being produced by the Comedians You Should Know group, (who recorded their own top-selling album in the same location last year), and features a $5 Smithwicks drink special.
