In its second season, Six One Seven Dance Collective presents 'Skin Deep: A Performance Exploration In Beauty' at the Center for the Arts at the Armory in Somerville, Massachusetts on June 8th and 9th at 8:30pm. The evening will showcase the collaborative works of Six One Seven Dance Collective along with special guest artists showcasing their interpretations of beauty though music, theater, poetry and spoken word. 'Skin Deep' explores the ways in which we interpret the concept of beauty, both culturally, personally and though the eyes of the media. The performance seeks to unveil the positive and negative connotations with beauty standards and their affect on us as artists and humans.
