Dredd Foole/Chris Corsano
An artist of singular vision, whose music is described by indie-bible Pitchfork as "a mesmerizing collection of exploratory guitar, haunting vocals, and dark reverb, evoking the rituals of Velvet Underground associate Angus MacLise, the psych of early Pink Floyd, and the outsider art of Jandek." Dredd Foole's old back up band was seminal post-punk group Mission of Burma, and his outsider cred has been firmly embraced by Sonic Youth's Thurston Moore, Yo La Tengo's Ira Kaplan, and many more.
Saratoga Arts is partnering with Spring Street Gallery to bring him to town for a special, intimate set.
Percussionist Chris Corsano, who's performed and recorded with Bjork, Nels Cline, Paul Flaherty, Mick Flower, Thurston Moore, and many others, will open.
"Foole improvisations are interactive canvases, simultaneously absorbing and reflecting sound to give him and his collaborators new, invigorating frameworks." Pitchfork
"Chris Corsano is an energetic, exploratory player and also an attention-grabbing spectacle." BBC
