TEENAGE BOTTLEROCKET, the DOPAMINES, ELWAY, TILTWHEEL & the BOMBPOPS
TEENAGE BOTTLEROCKET the DOPAMINES ELWAY TILTWHEEL the BOMBPOPS $10 IN ADVANCE / $12 DAY OF SHOW DOORS: 8 PM / SHOW: 9 PM
You probably know this much already: TEENAGE BOTTLEROCKET (or simply "TBR" to their fans) is currently one of the hottest bands in punk rock and their new record, They Came From The Shadows, is highly-anticipated. But before we go any further you should probably know that they're from Wyoming. Crazy, huh? Although more famous for its frontier forts and characters like Butch Cassidy, the "Front Range" (as it's known to the locals) may very well be the unlikely home to the next great punk rock band. At least that's what the kids are sayin'. But don't take our word for it, even Alternative Press featured them as a "Band You Need To Know in 2009" and they don't even have those Jennifer Aniston haircuts!
From the banks of the Ohio river, The DOPAMINES take what they love from the new wave of pop punk and form a style all their own. No bullsh#t influenced by 90's lookout and minneapolis punk. Buy them a beer.
ELWAY is an American punk rock band from Fort Collins, Colorado. Their sound is a unique and inebriated take on a time-tested formula: aggressive punk rock with soaring melodies coupled with lyrics ranging from that of the sad sap to the indignant atheist with a bevy of homespun dick jokes.
TILTWHEEL has been a band comprised of human men for closing in on two decades, and they've only released two full lengths in this period of time. Spanning multiple decades of pop-punk with a 40-year old singer. A sound highly influenced by Leatherface and PBR, they are the perennial essential Gainesville Fest band. It is their only consistent out-of-California show.
Hailing from suburban Oceanside CA, The BOMBPOPS have proven to be one of Southern California's hardest working bands, drawing influences from '90s skate punk and Fat Wreck Chords bands like NOFX, Lagwagon, Descendents, and No Use For A Name. Fronted by two girls ripping on guitars and vocals, and backed by dudes holding down a strong rhythm section, The Bombpops offer a fresh, honest, in your face, delivery of catchy melodic pop punk songs. Formed in early 2008, while members were fresh out of, and others still in High School, The Bombpops quickly established a name for themselves in the So-Cal punk scene opening up for punk rock giants such as NOFX, Bad Religion, No Use for a Name, Anti- Flag, Pulley, GBH, TSOL, The Adolescents, Strung Out and The Queers. With their releases "Like I Care" and "Stole the TV" out on Red Scare Industries and relentless touring under their belts, The Bombpops have no plans of slowing down.
