One on One with Ruben Santiago-Hudson and Justin Emeka
Stage Directors and Choreographers Foundation's next One-on-One Conversation will feature Ruben Santiago-Hudson and Justin Emeka.
SDCF's series of conversations with theatre's outstanding artists offers rare insight into the creative process and personal experience of forging an artistic life. SDCF is the nation's only organization that exists solely to foster, support and promote the craft of theatre directors and choreographers at all levels of career. SDCF produces six One-on-One Conversations annually.
On November 5, Ruben Santiago-Hudson, director-performer-writer, known for his evocative interpretation of the August Wilson canon, will exchange ideas about process, aesthetics, and how identity shapes art with Justin Emeka, who specializes in re-imagining classic and contemporary theater through the lens of a multi-racial experience. In a conversation moderated by John Dias (Artistic Director, Two River Theatre), these two multi-hyphenate artists will discuss their own journeys, the legacy of African-American and Latino artists, and the vital function of storytelling.
Where: National Opera Center, 330 Seventh Avenue, NYC When: Thursday, November 5, 2015 at 8pm Tickets: $10, General Public
