JOHN LANGAN BAND
'Astonishing work, boundlessly inventive... driving rhythms and mesmerising folk melodies' R2 Magazine
The John Langan Band are a dynamic trio, with a sound that is rooted in Celtic Folk but encompasses Balkan, Roma, Gypsy Swing and Flamenco. The band met in Glasgow and has been playing together for 8 years. Their performances are high energy, unhinged, and musically extravagant, as they take traditional acoustic idioms and deliver them with a punk abandonment and virtuosic flare.
JOUIS
Jouis (Jhew-ee) are a 5 piece band based in Brighton. Combining Jazz, Psychedelia and Progressive Rock, their sounds are designed to open your mind, and spirit you away to new lucid dimensions. Jouis is a French word roughly translated as 'high enjoyment' (derived from 'Jouissance'), a philosophy the band has upheld since its inception in 2008.
