Cider Chat: Wild Apples
Those who first glean apples from the wild, year after year, both from long-abandoned orchard trees or truly wild seedling trees, begin to discover individual and social characteristics that are unique to wild trees. The resiliency of these trees offers wisdom that may reshape the monocultural approach to conventional orchard management, and their fruit offers diversity needed for the cider industry.
Join us as Andy Brennan shares what he has learned from gleaning wild apples from Maryland to Maine for over 20 years.
Talk includes taste of ciders. Bottles available for purchase in our bottle shop.
