The Cherry Orchard by Anton Chekhov Directed by Stephanie Hunt
Can the family estate be saved? The final play of Anton Chekhov examines an aristocratic family's interactions as they face serious decisions regarding the family home. How each family member reacts to this tidal wave of change produces both humor and insight about the human soul and the longing for Love.
Libby Appel's adaptation of Alison Horsley's Literal translation offers a fresh lens on Chekhov's classic play. Stephanie Hunt (Word for Word) directs a cast of CTE students who also design, produce and stage manage for the show.
Performances are October 26 through 30 at 7:00 P.M. at the Daniel Caldwell Theatre located at the rear of Tamalpais High School's campus in Mill Valley. Parking is available.
"The Cherry Orchard" is suitable for 12 years old and up.
