Fantasy Reading No. 13 w/ Bob Holman and Carter Edwards
Join us for the eleventh installment of our monthly Sunday evening reading series of utterly fantastic poets & writers at Bowery Poetry Club. First Sundays from 6-8 PM.
Bob Holman (Founder, Artistic Director) Dubbed "Poetry Czar" (Village Voice), and "Dean of the Scene" (Seventeen Magazine), Holman studied poetry at Columbia where he now teaches. He has published sixteen works of poetry, most recently Sing This One Back To Me (Coffee House Press) and A Couple of Ways of Doing Something (Aperture), a collaboration with Chuck Close. He is currently touring two Endangered Language Projects: Khonsay: A Poem of Many Tongues, with each line from a different endangered or minority tongue; and Language Matters with Bob Holman, a two-hour PBS special produced/directed by David Grubin.
Carter Edwards (Project Director) Edwards is a poet and writer living in Brooklyn. He worked for eight years as an executive producer at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater at the helm of their national touring company and corporate events. As B.C. Edwards, he is the author of a collection of short stories The Eversive Clause, and two books of poetry: From The Standard Cyclopedia of Recipes and To Mend Small Children. He is the recipient of the 2011 Hudson Prize for Fiction and a 2014 New York Foundation for the Arts Poetry Fellow.
