Cooking Class: Managing Your Diabetes Through Nutrition: National Healthy Lunch Day Edition
Join us for a healthy cooking class focused on managing your diabetes through nutrition. This class will be held on National Healthy Lunch Day and is sponsored by the American Diabetes Association San Diego Chapter. During this class, you will learn to prepare a healthy dinner menu that can be transformed into a healthy lunch for the following day. All menu items are ADA approved with minor modification to focus on the use of whole foods without artificial sweeteners.
You will experience Bastyr University Clinic's whole person health approach in our state-of-the-art teaching kitchen with nutrition professional Fernanda Larson, MS,CN.
In this class you will learn how to make:
One pot roast chicken Quick broccoli slaw Teriyaki creamy chicken salad in lettuce cups
All ingredients and materials are included. Attendees will receive generous samples and printed recipes to take home. Class size limited to 25 people. Class fee of $40 includes all class materials. Discounted prices offered to college students, seniors, military and patients of Bastyr University Clinic. For each attendee, Bastyr will donate $15 to the American Diabetes Association.
