Opera Ithaca -Arias - Handel to Heggie : a concert of arias from the 18th century to composers still penning today.
Opera Ithaca is Ithaca NY's new professional opera company. Launching their inaugural season in 2014 with Bartok's Bluebeards Castle and ending with a world premier of Kristen Hevner-Wyatts, Il Sogno, Opera Ithaca shows its commitment to producing new and "outside the box" productions for its audiences. This year they begin their season with Mozart's Don Giovanni - this is not your grandmothers Don Giovanni.... come see Mozart's classic retold December 5th and 6th at CSMA in Ithaca, NY.
Opera Ithaca is a collaboration of local talent and resources under the leadership of Artistic Director, Lynn Craver and General Director, Zachary James. Zach and Lynn, Ithaca College alumni and local residents, joined forces with the same goal of starting a professional opera company in Ithaca. Check them out at www.operaithaca.org!
