Vivaldi's Dixit Dominus, RV 807, receives its Rochester premiere with this performance! The work, re-discovered in 2006, shows Vivaldi at his most dramatic and free with intricate passage-work and striking gestures for soloists, choir, and orchestra alike. Johann Adolf Hasse's Miserere in C Minor, also highlights the drama of its text with stunning dissonance and masterful counterpoint. You won't want to miss this season opener with YunJin Audrey Kim, Jessica Ann Best, Matthew Valverde, and Alan Cline, soloists, with the chorus of First Inversion and orchestra.
