Jackie Gage
Bay native Jackie Gage returns from NYC, sharing music from her forthcoming 2016 debut, Siren Songs. With a vintage voice that goes down like smooth wine, Gage easily captures the heart of the Bay Area. She possesses a musical grace that channels torch singers of decades past, mixing elements of jazz, soul, and modern R&B in her music stylings.
This young talent is a 2014 Jazz Search West finalistwhich awarded her performances at nationally recognized venues Yoshi's Oakland, the Freight and Salvage in Berkeley, and The Sound Room in Oaklandwith notable past performances at the Fillmore Jazz Festival (2015), San Jose Jazz Summer Fest (2013, 2012), and Berkeley Juneteenth (2015, 2014), among others. She's toured throughout California, with her original take on classic music, spanning the state from Sacramento to San Diego. Her cutting-edge work also champions ladies in the scene, especially within her curatory role in female-focused artistic showcase Fatale. Gage is now working on her debut album, Siren Songs, set for release in early 2016. Welcome back this young, soulful torch singer for a night of original music, and spicy classics.
