DEMOCRATIC PRESIDENTIAL DEBATE #2, hosted by Imani Gandy and Dan Roth and featuring a short set of political themed stand up comedy by Karinda Dobbins!
Get your tickets now for the second Democratic Debate at Oakland's most fun dinner-and-a-movie venue, The New Parkway! Watch Hillary Clinton, Martin O'Malley, and Bernie Sanders face off as John Dickerson of Face the Nation and Slate's Political Gabfest fires the questions. And wait ... there's more! Karinda Dobbins, one of Oakland's finest comedians, will kick things off at 5:45 with a set of politically-themed humor to get us warmed up.
About the hosts:
Imani Gandy is a recovering attorney turned political blogger, journalist, and women's rights activist. She is the publisher of Angry Black Lady Chronicles, winner of the 2010 Black Weblog Award for Blog to Watch, and the 2012 Black Weblog Award for Best Political Blog. She is currently co-host of This Week in Blackness Prime. Her work has been featured at The Grio.com, AlterNet, and she appears regularly on a variety of progressive radio shows and podcasts.
Dan Roth is a criminal defense lawyer, activist, and political junkie who doesn't own a television and needed a place to watch the first debate.
Half of the proceeds from this special event will go to Campaign Zero, a nonprofit committed to ending police violence. Come on out for the sure-to-be lively debate and give something back to the community in the process.
