Professional Development for Pre-K Teachers: Creative Freedom in the Classroom
Pre-K Teachers are invited to a professional development day that will focus on the significance of creative freedom for students in the classroom. Teachers will look closely at works on view in A Constellation during a guided tour, and practice strategies for implementing creative exploration during an art-making workshop, using color, shape and form.
Participants will gather museum tools and resources that connect to the New York State Pre-Kindergarten Foundation to the Common Core Standards. Don't miss the chance to learn about resources for educators, upcoming programs, and opportunities for your school or early childhood center!
Professional Development for Pre-K-12 Educators is FREE, and RSVP is required! Space is limited, and available on a first-come, first-served basis. Breakfast and refreshments will be provided.
Educator Programs are made possible by the New York State Council on the Arts, a state agency; the Joseph and Joan Cullman Foundation for the Arts; the Dedalus Foundation, Inc.; the May & Samuel Rudin Family Foundation, Inc.; and Wells Fargo.
