by Ray Sipherd directed by Tom Sheehan
The ocean wears away at the New England coastline near the vacation home of Harrison and Margaret Fisk. Their sense of stability erodes further with the arrival of two tickets to a local theater event. So begins this bittersweet romantic comedy that dramatizes the elusive nature of love and the power of long-forgotten memories.
This free staged reading is a showcase for a new play from award-winning writer and playwright Ray Sipherd. One of the original writers of Sesame Street, he is also the winner of three Emmy Awards. As a Writer-Producer for Channel 13, he created "All Things Considered", a weekly series of the arts and culture of New York. He has published seven children's books, four novels and a collection of short stories. His other plays include "Mathew Brady Presents!", and "Tinker's Fire". He also wrote the book and co-authored the lyrics of a musical based on the classic Russian play "He Who Gets Slapped".
The reading is directed by Tom Sheehan whose directorial credits at Brookfield Theatre include "Love Letters", "Moonlight & Magnolias", "Tuesdays With Morrie", and "Steel Magnolias".
