ALISON COOK BEATTY DANCE PEFORMS AT 4:30 & 7 PM IN NYC
Alison Cook Beatty Dance will be performing at the Martha Graham Studio Theater on December 12th at 4:30 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. Come a tad early and enjoy a glass of champagne. Company T-shirts will be on sale which make excellent holiday gifts!
Artistic Director Alison Cook-Beatty will be presenting three dances on the program: GRACE, choreographed in 2014, inspired by the Sakura flower in Japanese culture, music by Johannes Brahms, String Quintet; ACCUSED (VARIATION B), commissioned by The Boston Conservatory in 2015, a New York City premiere, is dedicated to the children and families who fell victim to the tragic events that happened in Sandy Hook in 2012; and LACRIMIS, choreographed in 2015, a New York City Premiere, set to the music of Nicholas Lens's Fire Requiem.
The dancers include Ms. Chie Mukai, Ms. Lindsey L. Miller, Ms. Carolina Rivera, Ms. Megan Cohl, Mr. Jonathan Breton, Mr. Joshua Elliott, Ms. Vera Paganin and Mr. Irving Amigon. Costume designers include Ms. Christine Darch (GRACE), Ms. Penney Pinette (ACCUSED VARIATION B), and Janna Appelstein (LACRIMIS). The company lighting designer is Ms. Avery Lincoln.
