Dunava at Iggy's: Workshop and Concert
Dunava is a women's Balkan choir based in Seattle. We've been performing for over ten years and spreading the love of Balkan music and songs This is our first time to Bainbridge Island!
We're excited to be invited to do a workshop/concert combo at Iggy's. In the workshop we'll teach two or three songs from our repertoire, as well as some basic Balkan singing technique. No previous experience required, and men and women are both welcome.
After a short break we will the perform a house-concert-style set of songs from our upcoming concert. Sit back, sip some botanical honey-brewed kombuchas, & enjoy as you are transported to the Balkans with their fierce, resilient & moving female vocal tradition.
