Cellular Cinema VIII: Vanessa Renwick (11-8)
For its eighth installment, Cellular Cinema welcomes guest curator Vanessa Renwick, a representative from the Oregon Department of Kick Ass. On a whirlwind, 30-venue North American tour, Vanessa will be swinging through Minneapolis to share a program of short, personal constructions that demonstrate a wide range of formal approaches and subjects that include folkart, birth, hitchhiking, death, nuclear power, gentrification and migration. Renwick's films share a restless spirit, an interest in outlaw art-making, and an unflagging sense of wanderlust.
