Capturing Natural Beauty: Illustrating Wildflowers in Colored Pencil
Enjoy lovely views from the Bechtel House while drawing spring wildflowers in colored pencil. Explore a variety of colored pencil techniques and color theory with botanical illustrator Nina Antze. We will focus on seasonal wildflowers growing behind the Bechtel House, working and lunching outside (weather permitting). All drawing levels welcome! Nina is a botanical artist living in Sonoma County. She has a degree in fine arts from San Francisco State University and a certificate in Botanical Illustration from the New York Botanical Gardens. She has exhibited her artwork in New York, at the Huntington Library, and at the Filoli Gardens. She is a member of the Northern California Society of Botanical Artists and the Guild of Natural Science Illustrators.
