Crystal Image Performing Arts Co. presents August Wilson's, Pulitzer Prize Winning Play, The Piano Lesson
The Crystal Image Performing Arts Company, the company that brought to the stage the critically acclaimed productions of: Joe Turner's Come and Gone, A Streetcar Named Desire, Fences and Lorraine Haneberry's A Raisin in the Sun, now graces the Off Broadway stage with August Wilson's The Piano Lesson.
At the heart of the story stands the ornately carved upright piano, that holds the history of the Charles family. Berniece, part owner of the piano has closed it off in the parlor with the unpleasant memories it conjures up. Boy Willie, her exuberant brother, bursts onto the scene one morning with his dream of selling the piano and buying the land that his family worked on as slaves. Berniece refuses to sell it desiring to keep the family history locked inside forever.
Full of powerful scenes, sharp comedy and music that makes the heart beat louder!
