TOWER
Sympho's latest immersive exploration and integration of sound and space is TOWER, a concert that places performers and audience on the double-helix interior staircases of Ann Hamilton's stunning 80-foot-tall sculpture and arts venue in California, set amidst the picturesque vistas of the Sonoma wine country. The Oliver Ranch Foundation has commissioned Sympho to follow in the footsteps of luminaries Meridith Monk and the Kronos Quartet in creating a site-specific work to be performed in the 24-foot-diameter Tower, and the creations of this forward-thinking collaborative team will surprise and delight the ear and eye.
The event will feature newly commissioned music by composers Christopher Bono, Paul Haas, and Bora Yoon, played by Sympho and players from the Bay Area's Classical Revolution under Haas's direction. Stage Direction and Visual Design by Ruth Pongstaphone.
Performances are June 16 and 17, with a post-concert patron reception on the 16th.

Q&A
Question: |
Hi Wesley, I would like to bring a group of 4 artists to the Tower Performance on June 17th. Two questions--How do we get there? Does it start at 3pm or 4pm? The Tower website lists 3pm, but Brown Paper Tickets lists 4pm. Thank you! |
Answer: |
The concert is at 4 PM; my apologies for the confusion. The ranch does not allow private vehicles, so we will be providing bus transportation from downtown Geyserville. We'll be sending out parking options and exact pick-up location to all ticketbuyers soon. |
