On February 6, 2016, the San Marino League's biennial gala benefit will take place at The Huntington. In Rothenberg Hall auditorium at 5:30 P.M., internationally renowned film critic, author and celebrity profiler Rex Reed will present A Constellation of Stars: The Legends I Have Known. In his own inimitable style, Mr. Reed will entertain his audience with unforgettable, revealing portraits of famous personalities of stage, screen, literature and more. After Mr. Reed's presentation, there will be cocktails, appetizers and an enticing silent auction in the Rose Hills Foundation Garden followed by a seated, gourmet dinner. Attire: Glitz for Gals and Ties for Guys Free parking 'tax deductible' to the extent allowed by law
San Marino League supports the Japanese Garden at The Huntington by serving as docents, providing Ikebana floral arrangements for the Japanese House, and by financially contributing to the garden's endowment fund. League members are also docents at Art Center College of Design and underwrite scholarships there for fine art students in need of financial help. Proceeds from this event will go to these two philanthropies.
