Sound Unseen at BLB (11-15 9:30 pm show)
Join Sound Unseen for its 2015 festival, which celebrates music and film. Sound Unseen will screen four films at BLB, including:
- A film about an amateur, small-town rock band and their journey to South by Southwest. - The MN premier of a documentary about a 1970s/'80s theatrical band's comeback - The MN premier of a documentary about the world's first donation-based band - The US premier of the 1990s Riot Grrrl influence on feminism and music
Sound Unseen celebrates 16 years of bringing film, music, and art to the Minneapolis-St. Paul community. The Sound Unseen festival has been named the "Best Winter Film Festival" by the Star Tribune; received the "Best of the Fests" award in 2010 by MSP Magazine; and has been described as "what all film festivals should aspire to be: less pomp and circumstance and more chances for the community to party. What separates Sound Unseen from its film-fest peers is not just its immersion in the local scene, but its dedication to living in spirit of independent film" by Tony Libera for Vita.mn.
