Raekwon (Wu-Tang) in Halifax!
Shy Sheep Entertainment presents: Raekwon live in Halifax with Ghetto Socks as support. Doors at 9PM at Olympic Community Hall.
RAEKWON
As a prominent member of the Wu Tan Clan, Raekwon has proved himself an enigma with his street smarts and daring bravado. With over a decade and a half in the game, Rae is the bridge between legendary artists of the past and the new crop of fresh MCs.
With a renewal rarely seen in the music industry, Raekwon has experienced a career resurgence few have ever witnessed. With an ever-growing fan base, Rae's music has managed to place him back on the forefront of Hip Hop's elite. Having been featured on countless features in 2010, Rae has lent his talents to fellow musicians: Kanye West, Bun B, Fat Joe, Justin Beiber and participated with is Wu Brothers, Ghostface and Method Man in the highly anticipated, Wu Massacre.
Never one to go back on a promise, Raekwon promised fans the fabled Shaolin vs. Wu Tang, as a response to RZA's 8 Diagrams album. To be delivered on March 8, 2011, the album which features the likes of Rick Ross, Lloyd Banks, Nas, Black Thought and Jim Jones, with production by DJ Khalil, Sean C and LV, Scram Jones and Eric Sermon, the album ushers the beloved Wu Tang sound into the current decades, leaving fans reminiscent while excited about the freshness of the sound.
To date, Raekwon is expanding his empire. He has established Ice H20 Canada, with the hopes of presenting to the world some of the untapped talents of our neighbors to the North. In addition, he has also developed 3783 Media, a collective based in Los Angeles, which serves as a full service production, digital and management company. There are several multimedia and entrepreneurial endeavors on the rise. Raekwon has moved into the next phase of his career, and he has no intention of slowing down.
GHETTOSOCKS
Ghettosocks (or just Socks) is a JUNO nominated Hip Hop Producer and MC born in Ottawa and living in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. In a short period of time, Socks has built his fan base from his Halifax headquarters, stretching across Canada, Europe, South America, Australia, Japan, and the United States. His unorthodox songwriting style, energetic live performances, and captivating free-styling abilities have earned him a spot among the elite of Halifax Hip Hop talent. Constantly touring various regions of Canada, Socks has opened for a who's who of established artists including: The Pharcyde, Nas, Afrika Bambaataa, Special Ed, The Gza, The Beatnuts, The Herbaliser, El da Sensei and The Returners, and Kool Herc to be brief. Socks is no stranger to the road, having performed throughout Canada, embarked on two American tours, three European tours, plus an introductory Japanese tour in 2010 of Osaka and Tokyo.
Strongly influenced by early 90s Golden Era Hip Hop, Ghettosocks has a smooth flow on the mic, sharp wit on the punch line, and a sweet tooth for pop culture. Layered over a mix of delicious instrumentals, Socks delivers a tasty serving of Hip Hop goodness that will satisfy the most demanding of rap gourmands. Socks released his debut, self-produced LP, Get Some Friends in November of 2006. In 2007, he released the I Can Make Your Dog Famous Mixtape with DJ Jorun Bombay. Socks' latest work to date, Treat of the Day, received a 2011 JUNO nomination for Rap Recording of the Year and won the 2011 ECMA Rap Single of the Year Award for Don't Turn Around featuring Edgar Allen Floe.

Is it possible to get physical tickets in advance? I have paypal, but connected to a bank acct, not a credit card. Usually takes a few days to clear, but this system req's a CC to confirm immediate payment. Options?
