Kauai Date Mate
Singles, age 40-plus, will enjoy a 5-minute "date" with every participant in a friendly, safe environment complete with a free drink, pupus and a free-style mixer afterwards.
Please Note: Our goal is to keep each speed-dating event fresh with a new mix of people. Since we still have women on a waiting list from our first event, we will wait-list women who participated in the last event. We encourage women who attended the last event, who want to attend this one, to purchase tickets. They will be put on the waiting list, and if spots open up for the current event they will be added to the participant list in the order they purchased tickets. If no spots are available, their money will be refunded and they will be wait-listed for the next event.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Speed dating is an unique system of meeting other singles in a friendly, low-pressure, festive environment. Kauai Date Mate introduces singles in five-minute "dates," to give the opportunity to meet a large number of potential matches in a short period of time.
-- Registration takes place between 5:00 PM and 5:30 PM.
-- You will be given a badge with your first name on it,
a 'score' card and a free drink ticket.
-- At 5:30 PM, the dates begin.
-- Paired seating is set up allowing for maximum privacy for
a 5-minute meeting.
-- Women remain seated while men rotate through the circle.
-- An ice-breaker question is given, each participant can
answer. You are free to ask more questions and interact
with each other.
-- After five minutes, the date ends, each participant votes
yes or no on the score card.
-- Dates end at 8 PM and freestyle mixer begins, giving
participants the opportunity get to chat and get to know
each other better.
-- Phone numbers and email addresses of your matches will be
emailed to each participant within 24 hours. The rest is
up to you!
