quiet Acts: Tryptonite and Lone Star
quiet Acts is an evening of one-act plays, pairing a new work with an established work. Both plays tell stories of the disenfranchised as we continue our season theme "All or Nothing". Panel discussions with local social service organizations - including Real Change - will be held after the one acts as we dialogue about the issues posed by each story.

Tryptonite by James Hamilton James (New Work) In a world where we are connected to everyone through a device that fits in our pockets, it's amazing how we can be so disconnected from the people we love. Tryptonite is about the disconnect within a dysfunctional modern family. Drug-addled, alcoholic Christopher is living in LA, not having seen his family in years. In a desperate attempt to reconnect, Christopher's sister, Angela, invites him back for Thanksgiving, the very anniversary of the family's destruction. It is Christopher's last chance to make his family accept him again.
Directed by Geoff Ramler Cast includes: Sandra Ponce, Amber Lackey, Yasmin Ravard-Andresen, Kendra Pierce, Robert Hinds, John Clark, and Lionel Emrys McCann
Lone Star by James McLure (Established Work) In the comedy Lone Star, a Vietnam vet returns home to try and put his life back together. In a night of drinking and telling stories with his younger brother, he discovers that the world has moved on and nothing - even his prized 1959 Thunderbird - has remained the same.
Directed by Jeremy Jones Cast includes: Noah Luce, Kyle Johnson, and David Pickett.
