Claudia Nygaard at Heritage Hall Lisbon
Armed with a new CD that charted in the top ten on both Folk and Country charts last summer, Americana singer/songwriter Claudia Nygaard is coming to Mount Vernon-Lisbon to headline the new LilFest concert series at the Lisbon Library. Straddling the fence between country and folk, with her songs that range from scrappy to sensual and humorous to heartfelt, Claudia has often been compared to Guy Clark and John Prine. A former staff songwriter on Music Row in Nashville, she has won many awards for her songwriting including the prestigious Kerrville Folk Festival songwriting competition. Further testifying to her skill as a writer, EVERY song on her new CD "Let The Storm Roll In" received airplay. Listen to Claudia at www.claudianygaard.com.
As an entertainer, Nygaard has been dubbed "Will Rogers without the rope" for her affable connection with an audience, and her quick wit. Accompanied by her jumbo Tacoma guitar and her tiny tenor ukulele, she will perform Sunday, April 15th, at 7 pm.
