Discovery Street Tours partners with Sommelier Carla McKay to bring you a wholly unique experience of wine, cheese, and your gustatory self.
This is no ordinary tasting tour; You'll get to know the real nitty gritty behind these two ancient favorites. Admire the microbes on some bloomy rinds, investigate acids and tannins, and delve into the microscopic magic that make wine and cheese the living, evolving wonders we love. Stroll quaint SF neighborhoods, visiting local cheese and wine shops to taste and learn. Stop at neighborhood parks to do hands-on experiments in taste-testing and fermentation. Finally, bring all your new knowledge to the table with a pairing picnic of more wine, cheese, and other tasty treats.
