Alison Arngrim: More Than Just Surviving
Alison Arngrim ("Nellie Oleson" from "Little House on the Prairie") shares her powerful story of childhood sexual abuse and how she turned her life around through her activism and through her work with Protect.org.
Despite the fact that millions of people are living with the trauma of childhood sexual abuse, it's still often treated as a "secret," which only makes it difficult for survivors to get help - and easier for predators to find their next victim.
Alison offers insight into how to avoid the pitfalls of abuse, where to go to get help, and how she came to be the National Spokesperson and Founding Member of Protect.org. Her powerful message is sprinkled with typical "Alison humor" while addressing an issue that is often much too painful to discuss.
