Effective Intercultural Communication Strategies in Outreach Efforts-Webhosting (Kannapolis)
Cardinal Innovations Healthcare to webhost the 2014-2015 National Online Training Series on Mental Health and Intellectual Disability developed by the Center for START Services. Each month a presentation can be viewed in the Kannapolis office conference center and at the Chapel Hill Office. Contracted providers, Stakeholders, and Cardinal employees are invited to attend. The trainings begin at 12pm please bring your lunch and listen. The topics & dates of the series are: October 16, 2015-Effective Intercultural Communication Strategies in Outreach Efforts November 20, 2015-The Importance of Data Collection & Analysis January 22, 2016-START Scholars Presentation: Admission & Discharge Summaries: A Case Study March 18, 2016 (3.5 hrs)-Celebrating Intellectual & Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month April 15, 2016-Family & Self-Advocate Perspectives on IDD & Mental Health May 20, 2016 (7 hrs.)- Celebrating Mental Health Awareness Month
The October training will be on October 16: Effective Intercultural Communication Strategies in Outreach Efforts (2 hours) Presenter: Julie Moser, MA, CAGS, Director of Online Training, Center for START Services Objectives: List at least three reasons why studying intercultural communication is important State at least three key skills needed for effective intercultural communication Demonstrate basic intercultural communication knowledge via a Critical Incident Analysis
