Red Curtain presents Bedroom Farce
Red Curtain Productions presents a community theatre presentation of Alan Ayckbourn's "Bedroom Farce" April 20-May 6, 2012, at the Historic Everett Theatre.
Our show follows 4 lively couples across one crazy night, displaying the various stages of love through a lifetime. Each relationship mirrors a quality of trust and security developed over a couple's time together.
We see our own lives mirrored, from the daring and impetuous joy of new lovers Kate and Malcolm, to the unshakable, time-tested comfort of the lifelong partnership Earnest and Delia share. Trevor and his wife Susannah, however, are somewhere in the middle, fighting hard to rekindle their excitement, or maybe just fighting to break free of a bad ideaand ruining a perfectly charming evening in three usually happy bedrooms of London while they're at it!
Will their bickering angst consume them? Or even worse, destroy the otherwise solid union of Jan and Nick? Not to give anything away, but it sure is fun to see what damage a good crazy or two can cause for some normal folksor if they can cause any at all.
Bedroom Farce was written by legendary writer, playwright and director Sir Alan Ayckbourn, who has been called the British Neil Simon. It's a tale of three bedrooms, and of course, what happens between couples in bedrooms normally stays in bedrooms. Ayckbourn gives us a glimpse into that world behind closed doors, often with hilarious results.
The cast features local community theatre favorites, and the show is directed by Kimberly Riley.
