War of the Worlds Radio play!
The Dinnerbox Series continues - presenting live theater in your favorite local restaurants!
Among the most famous, or infamous, adaptations of HG Wells "War of the Worlds" is the 1938 radio broadcast that was narrated and directed by Orson Welles and the "Mercury Theater on the air." The first two-thirds of the 60-minute broadcast were presented as a news bulletin and led to outrage and panic by some listeners who had believed the events described in the program were real!
Join award-winning, stage actor Damian Gillen, as he takes on HG Wells...and Orson Welles... in a classic, campy, sci-fi comedy. He is going solo for this production, so he is going to be needing some extra special help from the AUDIENCE, providing some key sound effects, special effects and play some of the characters too!

Doors open at 6pm for dinner & drinks,
Show starts at 7:30PM.
HALLOWEEN COSTUME PARTY! There will be a Costume party & Contest will be held, so dress up in costume to win prizes, tickets & T-shirt giveaways!
About The Dinnerbox Series
Each month, The Company Theatre teams up with local restaurants to present Dinner Theatre with a twist! The Dinnerbox Series brings a different Dinner & Show Combo to the Big Apple room at the Little Italy Italian restaurant (824 Afterglow. San Antonio 78216) in San Antonio, with new shows every month.
Price for dinner & show combo is $30 in advance, $40 at the door. Reservations are strongly suggested, as most shows sell out quickly. Groups discounts are available and most productions are available for touring to you restaurant, private parties or corporate events.
The Little Italy Dinnerbox menu includes: Pizza snacks, bread, salad and your choice of one of the following...
--Baked Lasagna w/ Meat - Pasta Sheets layered with Italian seasoned ground beef, cheese & marinara sauce.
--Baked Lasagna w/ Spinach - Fresh spinach sautee layered with pasta sheets, cheeses & marinara sauce.
--Chicken Parmigiana Hand breaded chicken breast fried then baked and topped with marinara sauce and mozzarella cheese.
--Spaghetti with Meatballs Homemade Italian seasoned ground beef Meatballs in tomato sauce over a bed of spaghetti.
PIZZA - A personal-sized Pizza with one topping
-Beer & wine are available for purchase.
-Gratuity not included...Please tip your waitstaff. -Don't feed the actor...he might bite.
