Black Balloon Theatre Presents 'Skyline'
"SKYLINE": LET'S TALK ABOUT URBAN REGENERATION
"All we are doing is filling in the gaps. And if that means having to clean out the odd rotten tooth in the process then, so be it."
London is changing. Fast.
Skyline is a new play in development which opens a window into the world of urban regeneration.
Francesca, a prominent politician, and Jasper, a property developer, look out from the thirtieth floor and discuss a new development project. Tanya and Rex worry about the real possibility of being evicted from their home.
Lives unexpectedly collide in a city which is losing it's way.
Written by David Bottomley (Theatre 503, Camden People's Theatre, the San Diego International Fringe Festival) and directed by Natalie Songer (Mercury Theatre, NT Connections, Eastern Angles), Skyline is produced by Black Balloon Theatre. Skyline will be presented as a rehearsed reading at Ugly Duck, with pre-show debates from guest speakers from the Green Party and others TBC, and invited audience feedback.
"Think of it as the price to pay for living in the most desirable city in the world."
