Philanthropy is More Than Writing a Check -- Dallas Mosier
There is a long tradition held among people on the Central Coast for doing charitable giving. Many of us generously give our time and money to support our favorite non-profits. But there is a lot more to philanthropy than simply writing a check.
In this course we will explore the intricacies of philanthropic giving and your instructor, Dallas Mosier will suggest ways to accomplish your estate and tax planning goals while achieving your charitable objectives. You will learn the advantages and disadvantages of the most popular vehicles, including private foundations, charitable lead trusts and remainder trusts, community foundations, and donor-advised funds. Discover that each giving entity offers a different level of control and comes with varying levels of responsibilities with regard to the distribution, management, and investment of your assets.
Dallas Mosier, a local attorney and certified estate planning specialist, will discuss these topics and answer all of your estate planning related questions. Dallas has a J.D. degree from Chapman University School of Law and is an attorney with the law firm of Carmel & Naccasha.
